Agora Summer School Structure

Step 1 - The Assessment

At Agora Summer School, we will be setting up small group sizes of 3 students per educator to help catch up on our academic knowledge and skills. We will be evaluating students using the Brigance Academic Assessment. The results report on students’ knowledge of reading, reading comprehension, listening and comprehension, spelling, sentence writing, and math skills. As the guardian/parent, you will get a detailed, inside look into what your child already knows and where the knowledge gaps are so we can fulfill them in our Summer School program.

Step 2 – The Program

Using purchased materials and some online teaching resources, we will work with your child to help them catch up on academic subjects, i.e.: English, Math, study skills and Science. Our educators will work with your child to help them retain knowledge through engagement, study tips and clever shortcuts that are fun and easy to learn. Each educator will be at a table for one hour with three different students. Students will be working on their own subject matter. Students in K-4 will be grouped together and those in 5-8 will be together. High school students will also be grouped together.

Students must arrive on time and ready to learn for the hour. Students must be picked up right on time as well to ensure a smooth transition for the next group of students.

Step 3 – The Reporting

We will meet with you after two weeks to update you on your child’s progress and answer any questions you may have. Please email us in case there are any questions leading up to the meeting so we can continue to keep the lines of communication open. info@agoraprep.com is the best way to reach us.

Application Forms

need to be filled out as soon as possible because spaces will fill up fast. The final date for all forms to be June 26th, 2023. However, we will be accepting enrollment as of February 2023. Please note that we will still be accepting applications for summer school after that date, if there are spaces available and it will always be on a first come, first serve basis. The ratio is 1:3 for educator/student.

Summer school will run from July 3rd to August 25th, 2023 (8 weeks) - Please check off whether you would like July or August or both for enrollment.

Students must sign up for a month.

Fees:

Please ensure that you submit payment with your completed registration package to ensure that a spot is booked for your student.

*Payment for the entire monthly fee to be made by e-transfer and emailed to: Info@AgoraPrep.com
*There will be $250 one-time assessment fee for each student
*There will be no makeup days for missed days or refunds
